I knew you were trouble - Taylor Swift

Once upon a time a few mistakes ago
I was in your sights, you got me alone
You found me, you found me, you found me
I guess you didn’t care, and I guess I liked that
And when I fell hard you took a step back
Without me, without me, without me
And he’s long gone when he’s next to me
And I realize the blame is on me

‘Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
‘Til you put me down, oh
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
Now I’m lying on the cold hard ground
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble

No apologies, he’ll never see you cry
Pretend he doesn’t know that he’s the reason why
You’re drowning, you’re drowning, you’re drowning
Now I heard you moved on from whispers on the street
A new notch in your belt is all I’ll ever be
And now I see, now I see, now I see
He was long gone when he met me
And I realize the joke is on me

‘Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
‘Til you put me down, oh

I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
Now I’m lying on the cold hard ground
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble

And the saddest fear comes creeping in
That you never loved me or her, or anyone, or anything, yeah

I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
‘Til you put me down, oh
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
Now I’m lying on the cold hard ground
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
Trouble, trouble, trouble
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
Trouble, trouble, trouble

 Red – Taylor Swift

Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead end street
Faster than the wind
Passionate as sin, ended so suddenly
Loving him is like trying to change your mind
Once you’re already flying through the free fall
Like the colors in autumn
So bright just before they lose it all

Losing him was blue like I’d never known
Missing him was dark grey all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you’ve never met
But loving him was red
Loving him was red

Touching him is like realizing all you ever wanted was right there in front of you
Memorizing him was as easy as knowing all the words to your old favorite song
Fighting with him was like trying to solve a crossword and realizing there’s no right answer
Regretting him was like wishing you never found out love could be that strong

Losing him was blue like I’d never known
Missing him was dark grey all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you’ve never met
But loving him was red
Oh red burning red

Remembering him comes in flashbacks and echoes
Tell myself it’s time now, gotta let go
But moving on from him is impossible
When I still see it all in my head

Burning red!
Darling it was red!

Oh, losing him was blue like I’d never known
Missing him was dark grey all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you’ve never met
Cause loving him was red yeah yeah red
We’re burning red

And that’s why he’s spinning round in my head
Comes back to me burning red
Yeah yeah

Cause love was like driving a new Maserati down a dead end street

Taylor Swift – All Too Well Lyrics

I walked through the door with you, the air was cold
But something about it felt like home somehow
And I left my scarf there at your sister’s house
And you still got it in your drawer, even now

Oh, your sweet disposition and my wide-eyed gaze
We’re singing in the car getting lost upstate
Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place
And I can picture it after all these days

And I know it’s long gone
And that magic’s not here no more
And I might be okay
But I’m not fine at all

‘Cause there we are again, on that little town street
You almost ran the red ’cause you were looking over me
Wind in my hair, I was there, I remember it all too well

Photo album on the counter, your cheeks were turning red
You used to be a little kid with glasses in a twin-size bed
Your mother’s telling stories about you on the tee ball team
You tell me about your past, thinking your future was me

And I know it’s long gone
And there’s nothing else I could do
And I forget about you long enough
To forget why I needed to

‘Cause there we are again, in the middle of the night
We’re dancing around the kitchen in the refrigerator light
Down the stairs, I was there, I remember it all to well

And maybe we got lost in translation, maybe I asked for too much
But maybe this thing was a masterpiece ’til you tore it all up
Running scared, I was there, I remember it all too well

And you call me up again just to break me like a promise
So casually cruel in the name of being honest
I’m a crumpled up piece of paper lying here
‘Cause I remember it all, all, all too well

Time won’t fly, it’s like I’m paralyzed by it
I’d like to be my old self again, but I’m still trying to find it
After plaid shirt days and nights when you made me your own
Now you mail back my things and I walk home alone

But you keep my old scarf from that very first week
‘Cause it reminds you of innocence and it smells like me
You can’t get rid of it ’cause you remember it all too well, yeah

‘Cause there we are again, when I loved you so
Back before you lost the one real thing you’ve ever known
It was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well

Wind in my hair, you were there, you remember it all
Down the stairs, you were there, you remember it all
It was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well

"The Moment I Knew"
You should've been there,
Should've burst through the door,
With that 'baby I'm right here' smile,
And it would've felt like,
A million little shining stars had just aligned,
And I would've been so happy.

Christmas lights glisten,
I've got my eye on the door,
Just waiting for you to walk in,
But the time is ticking,
People ask me how I've been
As I comb back through my memory,
How you said you'd be here,
You said you'd be here.

And it was like slow motion,
Standing there in my party dress,
In red lipstick,
With no one to impress,
And they're all laughing,
As I'm looking around the room,
But there's one thing missing,
And that was the moment I knew.

And the hours pass by,
Now I just wanna be alone,
But your close friends always seem to know
When there's something really wrong,
So they follow me down the hall,
And there in the bathroom,
I try not to fall apart,
And the sinking feeling starts,
As I say hopelessly,
"He said he'd be here."

And it was like slow motion,
Standing there in my party dress,
In red lipstick,
With no one to impress,
And they're all laughing,
And asking me about you,
But there was one thing missing,
And that was the moment I knew.

What do you say
When tears are streaming down your face
In front of everyone you know?
And what do you do when the one
Who means the most to you
Is the one who didn't show?

You should've been here.
And I would've been so happy.

And it was like slow motion,
Standing there in my party dress,
In red lipstick,
With no one to impress,
And they're all standing around me singing
"Happy birthday to you",
But there was one thing missing,
And that was the moment I knew.

Ooh, I knew.
Ooh,

You called me later,
And said, "I'm sorry, I didn't make it,"
And I said, "I'm sorry too,"
And that was the moment I knew.

Taylor Swift Quotes

“When I was a little girl I used to read fairy tales. In fairy tales you meet Prince Charming and he's everything you ever wanted. In fairy tales the bad guy is very easy to spot. The bad guy is always wearing a black cape so you always know who he is. Then you grow up and you realize that Prince Charming is not as easy to find as you thought. You realize the bad guy is not wearing a black cape and he's not easy to spot; he's really funny, and he makes you laugh, and he has perfect hair.”(Taylor Swift).

“These days, I've been trying to classify my thoughts into two categories: "Things I can change," and "Things I can't." It seems to help me sort through what to really stress about. But there I go again, over-planning and over-organizing my over-thinking! I write songs about my adventures and misadventures, most of which concern love. Love is a tricky business. But if it wasn't, I wouldn't be so enthralled with it. Lately I've come to a wonderful realization that makes me even more fascinated by it: I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to love. No one does! There's no pattern to it, except that it happens to all of us, of course. I can't plan for it. I can't predict how it'll end up. Because love is unpredictable and it's frustrating and it's tragic and it's beautiful. And even though there's no way to feel like I'm an expert at it, it's worth writing songs about -- more than anything else I've ever experienced in my life.”(Taylor Swift).

“Your lucky enough to be different, never change”

“No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind.”

"Real life is a funny thing you know.
In real life saying the right thing, at the right moment is beyond crucial.
So crucial in fact, that most of us start to hesitate, for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.
But lately what I’ve began to fear more than that, is letting the moment pass with saying anything.
I think you deserved to look back on your life without this chorus of resounding voices saying, I could of but it’s too late now.
So there’s a time for silent, and there a time for waiting your turn. But if you know how you feel, and you so clearly know what you need to say.
You’ll know it.
I don’t think you should wait.
I think you should speak now.”

Why Moms Love Taylor Swift

Posted by Unknown at 11:58 PM 0 comments

I am nervous to trade the “pumpkin patch and tractor rides” stage of our lives for my daughter’s inevitable teenage years. I know how hard those adolescent years can be, and I don’t want my baby girl to struggle with the challenges of growing up in a world that is so confusing. Sadly, I can’t freeze time, but I am thankful for artists like Taylor Swift who see the challenges facing mothers and put out albums that are positive and uplifting.
Her song, “The best day,” was written by Taylor for her mom. Can I just say that it’s extremely refreshing to see a young female artist who has a strong and healthy relationship with her own mother! I sang this song to my little girl Gwen during a girl’s day we had earlier this fall. We went to brunch before heading to Alice’s Tea Cups. The staff just ate Gwen up. Most people do when she flashes her dimples at them! They gave her fairy wings and sprinkled Pixie Dust all over her. It was so cute. I found myself singing Taylor’s “Best day” out loud to Gwen. It so perfectly summed up how I felt in that moment. This track will always have a special meaning for me and my daughter because it’s a song we equally love and relate to.
…she consistently reminds us mom’s that young love feels real and that those heartbreaks seems like the end of the world.
Taylor Swift’s lyrics focus on meaningful relationships, love and life lessons. She gives our girls a best friend during the tearful break-ups and heartaches they will experience. Not to mention, she consistently reminds us mom’s that young love feels real and that those heartbreaks seems like the end of the world. We were there once too, but we’ve forgotten. Until we hear her songs, that is. Through her music, Taylor is able to tap into how girls really feel about the people in their lives. More importantly, she’s not afraid to express her feelings despite what others may think about them. I want to raise a daughter who is not embarrassed of her feelings and also has the confidence to stand up for herself.
As my daughter grows, I hope we will continue singing music together that unites us and helps us understand each other. And to Gwen: If I ever forget to tell you, I had the best day with you.

Taylor Swift (And Mom) Talk Childhood With Katie Couric

Posted by Unknown at 11:47 PM 0 comments

In a special airing Wednesday night (February 4), Grammy performer Taylor Swift — who frequently travels with her mom in tow — revealed to Katie Couric that as a child she was inquisitive about things and grew to love storytelling, traits that, her mom admits, made her a handful.
"I think I fell in love with words before I fell in love with music," the singer told Couric about her childhood. "All I wanted to do was talk and all I wanted to do was hear stories. I would drive my mom insane driving down the road [with her]."
Her mom, Andrea, spoke a bit about what Swift was like growing up, saying, "She had the potential to be exhausting."
Swift learned to quickly rely on her mom's company when in her teen years after she had a falling out with friends at school and found herself with a lot of free time.
"I had that group of friends when I was about 12 and then I lost that group of friends," the 19-year-old told Couric after the pair went shopping. "They all decided they didn't want to hang out with me anymore. I would go sit at the lunch table and they'd move their trays to another table, which is not fun to go through. So, at that point, all I had was my mom."
Swift also admits that another passion of hers is crime shows, one of which she has had the distinct honor of being on. "I'm obsessed with [them]," she said. "I'm so excited [about my CSI cameo]. That's one of those dreams that I've always had. I've always joked around that my dream was to do 'CSI'."
Taylor Swift will sing a duet with Miley Cyrus at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

Swift has already written five songs about Styles

Posted by Unknown at 11:44 PM 0 comments

By now, we are all aware that Taylor Swift has eschewed the traditional post-breakup "Häägen-Dazs/Crying in a bathtub" therapy session in favor of hitting the studio, presumably to write a bunch of songs about her ex, Harry Styles.
And, really, we shouldn't be surprised. After all, penning breakup tracks is sort of what Taylor does best (and she probably got all her crying out of the way whilst onboard the S.S. Sadness). But what is rather shocking is how quickly those songs came to her ... at least according to ever-reliable British tabloid The Sun, which "reports" that Swift has already written five songs about Styles.

"Taylor writes music in the same way that other women chat to their friends on the phone," the paper quotes a source as saying. "It's been how she deals with her emotions for most of her life."
Of course, we're skeptical about the whole thing (and not just because The Sun seems to be asserting that people still talk on the phone), but if there really are five new Swift songs out there ... what would they sound like? Read on to find out!
"I Knew You Were Trouble, Pt. II": Since the original was supposedly about Harry, Taylor pens a sequel, updating the lyrics to include lines like "Flew me to places I'd never been/like a resort in the British Virgin Islands."
"This Song Was Originally For Jake": Swift shows Styles just how little she cares about him by recycling a tune she had originally written for Jake Gyllenhaal. All she had to do was remove any references to his beard.
"Dear Harry": On Swift's most scathing breakup track to date, she accuses Styles of playing "even darker, more twisted games" and once again paints herself as "the girl in the dress who cried the whole way home." The song is so brutal that Harry will eventually tell Rolling Stone that he was "humiliated" by it, which will be followed by his obligatory Playboy interview where he drops the phrase "sexual napalm," compares his penis to David Duke. You know it's gonna happen.
"Zayn Is Hotter": A song that's sure to get headlines — not to mention even more death threats from 1D fans — Swift openly pines for Styles' bandmate, praising his hair and otherworldly bone structure. The tune ends with her rapping her phone number, telling Zayn to call her "any time." The B-Side is just her singing the names of all the guys in the Wanted.

What makes someone a Swiftie ?

Posted by Unknown at 8:35 AM 0 comments

I get asked a lot how to become a Swiftie or sometimes people who are really upset because they don't think they are good enough to be a Swiftie. So I just want to let everyone know what being a Swiftie really means.

People usually think the real Swifties have every taylor Swift item, gone to every concert and know her address because they are really close.

To be a Swiftie you don't have to have done any of this, you don't even have to own much of her stuff. Some people aren't allowed to (or can't afford) Taylor Swift stuff it doesn't make them any less of a Swiftie. (To be fair outside America anything but her main CD's is incredibly expensive because it has to be shipped from America.) You don't have to have seen her in concert or have met her. Also you don't have to like every single song she's done. I'll admit I don't like every Taylor song. A Swiftie will continue to like Taylor even though she has done some songs they don't like.

All you need to be a Swiftie is to support Taylor no matter what. The thing that makes a Swiftie different from a Taylor fan is that a Swiftie won't stop liking Taylor when she isn't popular and will support her no matter what happens even if it's really bad - a Swiftie is a Taylor fan 'Forever and Always'

Finally everyone will support Taylor in a different way. I love tswiftnation13's way of supporting Taylor, hers is the most obvious way of supporting her (and her videos are amazing!) but you don't have to do that. I would love to do what she does but I just don't have the time so I make lyrics videos. It's not as obvious but it's a way of supporting her by introducing people to her music.

So basically if you get upset because you don't think you're as good as other Swifties - you are a Swiftie. Please don't get upset if you don't think you're the best fan. The truth is there isn't a Number One Fan. If she only had one fan she wouldn't go on tour or make music. Every fan is important.

Stay Fearless x

Red (Taylor Swift album)

Posted by Unknown at 8:32 AM 0 comments
.
Red is the fourth studio album by American singer Taylor Swift. It was released on October 22, 2012 through Big Machine Records, as the follow-up to her commercially successful 2010 album Speak Now. It was announced through Swift's live webchat on August 13, 2012, in which she revealed the album title and album cover, and answered fan questions. Four promotional singles were released in the month leading up to the album release, three of which debuted inside the top ten of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The album features collaborations with new producers and guest artists such as Gary Lightbody and Ed Sheeran, and sees Swift experimenting with new musical genres.
The album's lead single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", was a worldwide commercial success, topping the iTunes charts all over the world and selling 623,000 copies in the first week, becoming Swift's first ever Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper after vaulting from 72 to number one and staying atop for three weeks. The second single, "Begin Again", was released on October 1. "I Knew You Were Trouble" was released as the third official single (promoted, like "Begin Again", from promotional single status) on November 27, 2012, becoming one of Swift's highest charting singles in both the UK and the US. "22" will be released as the fourth single from the album in March 2013.
Red has also spawned three other promotional singles, all of which reached top 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Red has been mostly acclaimed by music critics, who praised Swift's versatility as a musician and enjoyed her experiments with new music genres. Red sold 1,208,000 copies in its first week in the U.S., debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, the second-highest debut for a female artist, behind Oops!... I Did It Again by Britney Spears.  Red is also Swift's first chart-topper in the U.K., and also topped the album charts in Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand. The album sold 1.89 million copies in its first three weeks, surpassing One Direction's Up All Night as the second biggest-selling album of the year in the U.S
With Red spending its sixth week atop Billboard 200, Swift became the first artist in 43 years since The Beatles to log six weeks atop Billboard 200 with three consecutive studio albums, she also became the first artist since Garth Brooks to top Billboard 200 on the week before Christmas thrice.
Red was a commercial success. In the United States, Red became the fastest-selling album in over a decade after selling 1,208,000 copies in its first week, and earned Swift her third number one album on the Billboard 200 and fifth top ten album.[49][50] Red has the second highest first week sum by a female artist, only behind Britney Spears' Oops!... I Did It Again which opened with 1.3 million units.  "Red" has the biggest sales week in 2012 which outsold the top 52 albums in the Billboard 200 during its debut week. Red has also the biggest one week sales for a country album beating Garth Brooks' Double Live which sold 1,085,000 copies in 1998. She is also the first female artist, first country artist, and fourth artist to achieve two or more albums with first week sales of more than a million. She is also the second artist, after the Backstreet Boys to see the sales increase from its first million-selling first-week to its second. Red sold 465,000 digital copies in its first week in the US, which is the second biggest after Lady Gaga's Born This Way, which sold more including around 400,000 which were sold at 99 cents by Amazon. She is also the third female country artist to notch three number one albums. It sold around 1.459 million copies worldwide in its first week of sales. In its second week on the Billboard 200, the album remained at number one and sold 344,000 copies (down 72%). In its third week the album remained at number one and sold 196,000 (down 43%) which brought its sales to 1.749 million copies during its first three weeks of release and was easily ranked third biggest selling album of 2012 behind Adele's 21 and One Direction's Up All Night. The album was dethroned by One Direction's Take Me Home on its fourth week and fell to number two spot selling 145,000. On its fifth week of release, the album stayed at number two (having been blocked by Rihanna's Unapologetic which sold 238,000 copies that time) selling 185,000 (up 25%) in its fifth week The album was steady at number two until its sixth week selling 136,000 copies., all the while maintaining the number two spot. On its seventh week, Red climbs back to number one on the Billboard 200 selling 167,000 and with that, Swift is now tied with Jay-Z and Whitney Houston for fourth most-weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking in 1991. Swift held the Billboard 200 for its fifth non-consecutive weeks on its eighth week of release selling 208,000 copies and garnered the greatest gainer in that week. On it's ninth week the album reigned on top of the Billboard 200 for a sixth non-consecutive week at number one moving an additional 276,000 (up 32%), thus making Swift as the first artist since The Beatles way back in 1969 to log six or more weeks at number one with three consecutive studio albums. She achieves the feat with Red, which tops The Billboard 200 for the sixth week. It follows Fearless (eleven weeks) and Speak Now (six weeks), thus making Swift as the female and solo artist to do so. Also, this is the third time that Swift has had the number one album in the last week before Christmas, which is traditionally the most competitive week of the year. She also achieved the feat with Fearless in 2008 and Speak Now in 2010. Since 1991, only one other artist has had the number one album in the last week before Christmas three times. Garth Brooks scored with The Hits in 1994, Sevens in 1997 and Double Live in 1998.[63] Red spent its seventh non-consecutive week at number one in the sales week ending Dec. 30 2012, selling 241,000 (down 12%). This gave Swift a total of 24 weeks atop the Billboard 200 throughout her career, tying her with Adele as the woman with most weeks at No. 1 since SoundScan began powering the Billboard 200 in May, 1991. Red finished 2012 as the second biggest album despite being out for only two months, selling 3.11 million. It makes the fourth time she has an album ranked in the year's top three sellers.
Red also received commercial success outside the United States. In the United Kingdom, Swift garnered her first number one album with Red with sales of 61,000 copies on its opening week. In Canada, Red ranks Swift's third number one album as well selling 93,000 copies on its debut week and has easily crossed the Platinum certification in that country. With that sales, Red became the biggest one week sales in Canada since Michael Bublé's Christmas moved 107,000 copies last Christmas season of 2011 and the biggest first week sales since 2008. To date, Red has been certified triple platinum by Music Canada with shipments exceeding 240,000 copies. In Australia, the album debuted at number one and spent a total of three consecutive weeks at the top, becoming Swift's longest running number one album in Australia; Red has already been certified double platinum by the ARIA with shipments of 140,000 copies. In New Zealand, the album also became Swift's third number one album, and has been certified platinum by the RIANZ. Worldwide, Swift set a new worldwide iTunes record for highest ever first-week album sales with 566,000 copies sold digitally around the globe.
Red has been certified 4X Platinum in the U.S. for sales in excess of 4 million albums, and the disc's worldwide sales total is now past 5.4 million.

I knew you were trouble - Taylor Swift

Once upon a time a few mistakes ago
I was in your sights, you got me alone
You found me, you found me, you found me
I guess you didn’t care, and I guess I liked that
And when I fell hard you took a step back
Without me, without me, without me
And he’s long gone when he’s next to me
And I realize the blame is on me

‘Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
‘Til you put me down, oh
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
Now I’m lying on the cold hard ground
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble

No apologies, he’ll never see you cry
Pretend he doesn’t know that he’s the reason why
You’re drowning, you’re drowning, you’re drowning
Now I heard you moved on from whispers on the street
A new notch in your belt is all I’ll ever be
And now I see, now I see, now I see
He was long gone when he met me
And I realize the joke is on me

‘Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
‘Til you put me down, oh

I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
Now I’m lying on the cold hard ground
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble

And the saddest fear comes creeping in
That you never loved me or her, or anyone, or anything, yeah

I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
‘Til you put me down, oh
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I’d never been
Now I’m lying on the cold hard ground
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
Trouble, trouble, trouble
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
Trouble, trouble, trouble

 Red – Taylor Swift

Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead end street
Faster than the wind
Passionate as sin, ended so suddenly
Loving him is like trying to change your mind
Once you’re already flying through the free fall
Like the colors in autumn
So bright just before they lose it all

Losing him was blue like I’d never known
Missing him was dark grey all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you’ve never met
But loving him was red
Loving him was red

Touching him is like realizing all you ever wanted was right there in front of you
Memorizing him was as easy as knowing all the words to your old favorite song
Fighting with him was like trying to solve a crossword and realizing there’s no right answer
Regretting him was like wishing you never found out love could be that strong

Losing him was blue like I’d never known
Missing him was dark grey all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you’ve never met
But loving him was red
Oh red burning red

Remembering him comes in flashbacks and echoes
Tell myself it’s time now, gotta let go
But moving on from him is impossible
When I still see it all in my head

Burning red!
Darling it was red!

Oh, losing him was blue like I’d never known
Missing him was dark grey all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you’ve never met
Cause loving him was red yeah yeah red
We’re burning red

And that’s why he’s spinning round in my head
Comes back to me burning red
Yeah yeah

Cause love was like driving a new Maserati down a dead end street

Taylor Swift – All Too Well Lyrics

I walked through the door with you, the air was cold
But something about it felt like home somehow
And I left my scarf there at your sister’s house
And you still got it in your drawer, even now

Oh, your sweet disposition and my wide-eyed gaze
We’re singing in the car getting lost upstate
Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place
And I can picture it after all these days

And I know it’s long gone
And that magic’s not here no more
And I might be okay
But I’m not fine at all

‘Cause there we are again, on that little town street
You almost ran the red ’cause you were looking over me
Wind in my hair, I was there, I remember it all too well

Photo album on the counter, your cheeks were turning red
You used to be a little kid with glasses in a twin-size bed
Your mother’s telling stories about you on the tee ball team
You tell me about your past, thinking your future was me

And I know it’s long gone
And there’s nothing else I could do
And I forget about you long enough
To forget why I needed to

‘Cause there we are again, in the middle of the night
We’re dancing around the kitchen in the refrigerator light
Down the stairs, I was there, I remember it all to well

And maybe we got lost in translation, maybe I asked for too much
But maybe this thing was a masterpiece ’til you tore it all up
Running scared, I was there, I remember it all too well

And you call me up again just to break me like a promise
So casually cruel in the name of being honest
I’m a crumpled up piece of paper lying here
‘Cause I remember it all, all, all too well

Time won’t fly, it’s like I’m paralyzed by it
I’d like to be my old self again, but I’m still trying to find it
After plaid shirt days and nights when you made me your own
Now you mail back my things and I walk home alone

But you keep my old scarf from that very first week
‘Cause it reminds you of innocence and it smells like me
You can’t get rid of it ’cause you remember it all too well, yeah

‘Cause there we are again, when I loved you so
Back before you lost the one real thing you’ve ever known
It was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well

Wind in my hair, you were there, you remember it all
Down the stairs, you were there, you remember it all
It was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well

"The Moment I Knew"
You should've been there,
Should've burst through the door,
With that 'baby I'm right here' smile,
And it would've felt like,
A million little shining stars had just aligned,
And I would've been so happy.

Christmas lights glisten,
I've got my eye on the door,
Just waiting for you to walk in,
But the time is ticking,
People ask me how I've been
As I comb back through my memory,
How you said you'd be here,
You said you'd be here.

And it was like slow motion,
Standing there in my party dress,
In red lipstick,
With no one to impress,
And they're all laughing,
As I'm looking around the room,
But there's one thing missing,
And that was the moment I knew.

And the hours pass by,
Now I just wanna be alone,
But your close friends always seem to know
When there's something really wrong,
So they follow me down the hall,
And there in the bathroom,
I try not to fall apart,
And the sinking feeling starts,
As I say hopelessly,
"He said he'd be here."

And it was like slow motion,
Standing there in my party dress,
In red lipstick,
With no one to impress,
And they're all laughing,
And asking me about you,
But there was one thing missing,
And that was the moment I knew.

What do you say
When tears are streaming down your face
In front of everyone you know?
And what do you do when the one
Who means the most to you
Is the one who didn't show?

You should've been here.
And I would've been so happy.

And it was like slow motion,
Standing there in my party dress,
In red lipstick,
With no one to impress,
And they're all standing around me singing
"Happy birthday to you",
But there was one thing missing,
And that was the moment I knew.

Ooh, I knew.
Ooh,

You called me later,
And said, "I'm sorry, I didn't make it,"
And I said, "I'm sorry too,"
And that was the moment I knew.

Taylor Swift Quotes

Posted by Unknown at 12:31 AM 0 comments
